There is no silver bullet. Nor is there a silver bullet journal (see what I did there?). No tools will cause you to lose weight. There’s no program that will cause you to lose weight. No diet, no pill, no jogging routine—nothing external will cause you to lose weight. Not if you aren’t motivated. Not if you don’t know why you’re doing it.

You are your silver bullet.

Weight loss is hard. There’s no other way to say it. It’s just hard. Perhaps the hardest part is staying motivated. Nothing really matters as much as that. But what does it mean to stay motivated? I believe an enduring motivation is only possible when it’s built on facts. Measurement and data are the keys to knowing where you are in your weight loss journey, how you are trending, and how well you are staying on track.

A weight-loss bullet journal (bullet journal is what bujo stands for) gives you a minimalist space to record, organize, and display data related to your progress. In this notebook, you will record your daily weight, track your daily, weekly, monthly, and annual progress, and plan and track the habits you maintain around your weight loss journey.
